It ensures that the right information is available in the right place at the right time. And that such information is used wisely, while promoting sustainable farming, good product handling, food safety, cost savings and efficient transport. This reduces waste and supports communication with the consumer regarding the use value, quality, health and sustainability of a product.
The innovation tasks are geared towards digital standards, such as digital information exchange within and between companies in supply chains and networks, digital information exchange between the business community, the government and inspection agencies for tests and inspections, and improving the digital skills of entrepreneurs and workers in the horticultural sector.
